Maker Pilot – Quick Contact

Description

MP Quick Contact is designed for sites that need a straightforward way for visitors to make contact without a full form-builder workflow.

Create saved Quick Contacts, reorder fields by drag and drop, add up to four custom fields, use dropdowns, collect a name plus email or mobile, and keep each enquiry under its own reference number.

Quick Demo is a protected playground. Change the layout, try submissions and preview the finished business message without sending email, storing an enquiry or consuming a real reference number. When the layout is ready, create a normal Quick Contact from it.

Each Quick Contact has one message template. Click the available field tokens to insert values such as the visitor name, enquiry reference, configured fields, WordPress site name and site URL. The same rendered message can be used for business notifications and the optional visitor confirmation.

Notifications can go to the WordPress Administration Email, an additional recipient, or both. Recipients are sent separate messages. An optional visitor confirmation can send the visitor a copy when a valid email address is supplied.

Quick Contact deliberately does not accept file or image uploads. Its purpose is to establish contact first and minimise unnecessary data collection.

The plugin does not include tracking, advertising, external JavaScript or a third-party service dependency.

Privacy

Quick Contact stores information submitted through normal Quick Contacts in the WordPress database so site administrators can review enquiries. If notifications are enabled, the submitted information is also sent by email to the recipients configured by the site administrator. Quick Demo does not store demo submissions and does not send email. The plugin does not accept file or image uploads.

The plugin itself does not send enquiry data to a Valley Codeworks service or include analytics/tracking. Delivery of WordPress email can still depend on the mail configuration or mail service chosen by the site owner.

Privacy and data-protection requirements vary by country, region and organisation. Site operators are responsible for deciding what information they collect, how long they keep it, who may access it and how they comply with applicable requirements. Collect only information you need and delete it when it is no longer required.

Source code

The JavaScript and CSS shipped in this plugin are the original editable sources, not generated or minified build artefacts. The complete human-readable source is distributed in the assets/ directory. No build tools are required. assets/admin.js is the editable administration JavaScript; assets/public.js is the editable public JavaScript; assets/help.js is the editable help JavaScript.

FAQ

Does it accept uploads?

No. Quick Contact is intentionally focused on establishing contact. Files and images can be exchanged later using the method appropriate to the business and customer.

Does Quick Demo send email or save enquiries?

No. Demo submissions are non-destructive. They show the rendered email preview but do not send mail, create enquiry records or consume real enquiry numbers.

Can the visitor receive a copy?

Yes. Enable the visitor confirmation option on a normal Quick Contact. A copy is sent only when the visitor supplied a valid email address.

Which email receives admin notifications?

When Send to WordPress Admin is enabled, Quick Contact reads the Administration Email Address already configured in WordPress. An additional recipient can also be configured per Quick Contact.

Can I change the From name and email?

Yes. Optional email identity settings are available on the Quick Contact admin page. Leave them blank to let WordPress use its normal mail identity.

What happens when I deactivate or delete the plugin?

Deactivation keeps the plugin data. Deleting the plugin through WordPress runs the uninstall routine and removes MP Quick Contact settings, contact definitions and enquiry records. Ordinary WordPress pages are not deleted.
