Respira ARC: AI Product Feeds for WooCommerce (ChatGPT, Google Shopping, llms.txt)

Respira ARC: AI Product Feeds for WooCommerce (ChatGPT, Google Shopping, llms.txt)

Description

Respira ARC makes a WooCommerce store readable to AI assistants and shopping surfaces, and shows you when they start sending orders. It runs on your own site: no API key, no product limit, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to connect a free Respira account for the weekly site check.

ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot and Google’s AI results now answer “what should I buy” questions. They recommend what they can read. ARC gives them a clean, current view of your catalog and policies, and counts the orders that come back.

ChatGPT product feed

An OpenAI product feed in JSONL, following OpenAI’s product feed spec: unique rows per variant, prices and sale windows, availability, identifiers, the seller name, and variant grouping. Register its URL once in OpenAI’s merchant onboarding.

Google Shopping feed

A Google Merchant Center XML feed for scheduled fetch (Bing Merchant Center accepts the same file), with Google’s identifier rules for brand, GTIN and MPN.

Meta, Pinterest and TikTok catalogs

CSV catalogs for Facebook and Instagram (Commerce Manager), Pinterest and TikTok, plus a generic CSV export.

All feeds rebuild in the background on your schedule, and again a few minutes after a product changes. Variations export as proper variant rows with their own prices and images.

llms.txt for WooCommerce

A store summary at yoursite.com/llms.txt: what you sell, your policies (privacy, terms, returns, shipping, contact), top categories, brands, bestsellers with prices, payment methods, your sitemap and where the feeds live. If a real llms.txt file already sits in your site root, ARC says so instead of claiming its own is served.

Orders from AI assistants

One screen shows the orders and revenue AI assistants sent you in the last 30 days:

  • orders WooCommerce’s own order attribution traces to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini or Copilot (by referrer or utm_source), with no setup;
  • orders placed through signed agent cart links, which fill a shopper’s cart and land on your own checkout.

Checkout, payments and customer data never leave your store.

See which AI crawlers read your store

Fetch counters show when OAI-SearchBot, GPTBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot, Claude-User, PerplexityBot, Perplexity-User, Meta’s crawler, Googlebot, Google Merchant or Bingbot actually read your feeds and llms.txt. Counted on your server, no IP addresses stored. The “-User” fetchers visit while someone is chatting, so a count there means a real shopper’s question reached your store.

AI-readiness score

ARC checks your products for what shopping surfaces reject: missing images, thin descriptions, missing brands and identifiers, unmapped categories. It names the failing products and what each one needs. The score covers every published product: each feed build scores the catalog in the same background pass that writes the feeds, so a large store gets a full score without a slow admin screen.

Google product categories

Map each store category to Google’s product taxonomy on the ARC screen, with a Google category ID or the full path. The screen shows how many products each category holds and which ones are not mapped yet. Subcategories use their parent’s mapping unless they have their own, and every feed picks up a change at the next rebuild.

On every product

A “What the AI agent sees” panel on the product edit screen: the product’s actual feed row, each readiness check with pass or fail, and a one-click exclude-from-feeds switch.

Store readiness

The policy pages assistants look for before recommending a checkout, per-crawler robots.txt status, and a one-checkbox option to explicitly welcome AI crawlers.

Private by design

Feeds, llms.txt, scores and counters run on your own server. ARC sends nothing anywhere unless you connect a free Respira account for the site check below.

Free with a Respira account: a weekly vulnerability check

Connect a free respira.press account from the ARC screen, and ARC checks WordPress core, every installed plugin and every installed theme against more than 40,000 known vulnerabilities from the Wordfence Intelligence database, once a week and whenever you click Check now. The ARC screen shows which ones have known vulnerabilities, how severe the worst one is, and the version that fixes them; your free Respira dashboard lists every record with its CVE and a link to Wordfence. The same account includes an accessibility scan of any page on the store. No card and no trial, and ARC works the same whether you connect or not.

What Respira adds

ARC shows what is wrong with your catalog. Respira for WordPress with its WooCommerce Add-on lets your AI assistant fix it: “fix every product failing the feed checks”, “put the three slowest movers on sale”, “pause the subscription on order 1204”. That is 104 WooCommerce tools, with a snapshot before every write, dry-run previews and 90-day rollback. If you install the add-on later, ARC steps aside automatically and your settings and feed URLs carry over.

External services

ARC connects to one external service, and only after an administrator chooses to: Respira (respira.press), for the free site check.

  • When: when an administrator clicks “Connect a free account” and approves on respira.press, then once a week, and whenever an administrator clicks “Check now”. “Disconnect” sends one last request that deletes the connection.
  • What is sent: the site address, the WordPress version, and the folder name, name and version of each installed plugin and theme, with the site’s connection token. No products, orders, customers or other content from the store.
  • What it is for: matching those versions against known vulnerabilities and showing the result on the ARC screen and in your Respira dashboard.
  • Terms: https://www.respira.press/terms
  • Privacy policy: https://www.respira.press/privacy

Vulnerability data comes from the Wordfence Intelligence database, copyright Defiant Inc., used under its licence; each record links to Wordfence.

The product feeds and llms.txt are files on your own server that the platforms you register them with (OpenAI, Google, Meta, Pinterest, TikTok) fetch themselves; ARC does not send them anywhere.

Installation

  1. Install and activate Respira ARC from Plugins > Add New Plugin. WooCommerce must be active.
  2. Open WooCommerce > Respira ARC (or the Settings link on the Plugins screen).
  3. Choose the feeds you want and save. The first build runs in the background within a few minutes.
  4. Copy each feed URL into the matching platform: Google Merchant Center, OpenAI’s merchant onboarding, Meta Commerce Manager, Pinterest or TikTok. Each one is a one-time paste.
  5. Turn on the store llms.txt if you want AI assistants to find your policies and bestsellers at yoursite.com/llms.txt.

FAQ

How do I get my WooCommerce products into ChatGPT shopping?

Turn on the OpenAI feed in ARC, copy its URL, and register it in OpenAI’s merchant onboarding. ARC keeps the file current as your products change. OpenAI decides which products appear and when.

Does ARC submit my products for me?

No. ARC generates the feed URLs and keeps them current; you register each URL once on the platform. Google for WooCommerce can sync Merchant Center through Google’s API instead, and ARC’s other feeds work alongside it.

How do I see orders that came from ChatGPT or other AI assistants?

Open the ARC screen. The “Orders from AI assistants” card counts orders WooCommerce attributes to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini or Copilot, and orders placed through agent cart links. Order attribution needs WooCommerce 8.5 or later with its order attribution feature on, which is the default.

Is this ACP or UCP agentic checkout?

No. ARC does feeds, llms.txt, cart links and attribution; the purchase itself happens on your own WooCommerce checkout. It does not implement an in-chat checkout protocol.

Does it work alongside CTX Feed, Product Feed PRO or Google for WooCommerce?

Yes. ARC writes its own feed files under its own URLs and does not touch other feed plugins’ settings. Register whichever feed you prefer for each platform.

Yoast or Rank Math also make an llms.txt. Which one wins?

Only one llms.txt can be served. A physical file in the site root always wins, and ARC tells you when that is the case. If your SEO plugin generates one dynamically, keep one of them turned on; ARC’s version includes your feeds and bestsellers.

Does it slow my store down?

No. Feeds build in the background in small batches (through Action Scheduler) and are served as files. Shoppers never wait on feed generation.

Do out-of-stock products appear in feeds?

By default yes, marked out of stock, because platforms prefer that to rows that vanish. One checkbox excludes them, and the _respira_feed_exclude product meta excludes individual products.

Does ARC work with HPOS and the checkout blocks?

Yes. ARC reads and writes orders only through WooCommerce’s own APIs and declares compatibility with High-Performance Order Storage and the Cart and Checkout blocks.

Is there an MCP server, so an AI agent can work on the store?

Not in ARC. Respira for WordPress with the WooCommerce Add-on gives AI agents safe tools for products, orders and coupons. On WordPress 6.9 or later, ARC registers three read-only abilities with the WordPress Abilities API: feed status, the readiness score, and orders from AI assistants. They need a WooCommerce manager’s permission and are not offered to AI agents unless you choose to expose them. To control which abilities your plugins expose to AI agents over MCP, see Inhale, Respira’s other free plugin on WordPress.org.

Does ARC send any data to respira.press?

Only if you connect a free Respira account for the site check, and then only the site address and the versions of WordPress, plugins and themes. Without that, there is no telemetry, registration or external call. Links on the screen open respira.press or wordpress.org only when you click them. See External services below.

Can ARC check my store for vulnerable plugins?

Yes, with a free Respira account. Click Connect on the ARC screen and approve on respira.press. ARC then checks WordPress, your plugins and your themes against the Wordfence Intelligence vulnerability database every week and shows what to update.

Is the free plugin limited to a number of products?

No. Every format and every feature, any catalog size.

  • Added: Google product categories on the ARC screen. Map each store category to Google’s taxonomy by ID or path, see product counts and what is unmapped. Subcategories use their parent’s mapping.
  • Changed: the AI-readiness score covers every published product, scored in the same background pass that builds the feeds, instead of the first 50.
  • Added: a free site check with a Respira account. ARC checks WordPress, plugins and themes against 40,000+ known vulnerabilities from Wordfence Intelligence every week and shows what to update. Off until you connect; see External services.
  • Added: three read-only abilities for the WordPress Abilities API (feed status, readiness score, orders from AI assistants), not exposed to AI agents unless you choose to.

  • Added: fetch counters for the live AI fetchers (ChatGPT-User, Claude-SearchBot, Claude-User, Perplexity-User), which visit while someone is chatting.
  • Added: compatibility declared for HPOS order storage and the Cart and Checkout blocks; a Settings link on the Plugins screen.
  • Fixed: the llms.txt status said “served” even when a real llms.txt file in the site root was being served instead.
