VDL AI SEO helps you refresh existing WordPress content without leaving the editor. Use it to score a weak draft, see what is missing, generate a stronger version, and insert the improved copy back into the post.
Use it for:
- Refreshing older posts that need clearer structure
- Scoring a draft before publishing
- Finding missing headings, weak metadata, and content gaps
- Generating an SEO-focused rewrite with insert-ready HTML
- Creating a new outline when you are starting from scratch
The main workflow is:
- Open a post or page
- Run Analyze Draft to get a baseline score and fix list
- Run Optimize Content to generate an improved version
- Review the preview
- Insert or replace the content in the editor
The plugin can connect to an external AI service to return results and (optionally) track usage by license plan. Outline + Analyze are free. Includes 3 free content optimizations per month. Limits reset monthly. Unused optimizations do not roll over.
Works out-of-the-box
You can install and use the plugin immediately. If you configure an API key/license, the plugin can enable usage tracking and plan limits.

Privacy
When you run AI actions (outline / analyze / optimize), the plugin may send the relevant text and settings to the configured external AI service to generate results and track usage.

Do I need an account?

Not to install. To use AI actions via an external API you may need an API key and/or a license key depending on your setup.

Does this guarantee better rankings?

No. The plugin helps you improve on-page content quality and structure, but search rankings depend on many factors outside the plugin.

No. Test Connection is free.
